Aromatic After-Sun Bath To Treat Sunburn

1/4 cup of the following hebs: calendula, comfrey, raspberry leaf, slippery elm

1 qt boiling water

1/2 cup baking soda

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup aloe vera gel or juice

2 Tbsp honey

2 drops Lavender essential oil

1 drop Peppermint essential oil

 

Note: Adults can use twice the amount given for essential oils. Make a strong infusion of the herbs listed by pouring boiling water over them in a bowl or pot and allowing it to steep for 20 to 30 minutes. Strain and set aside. Fill the bath with tepid water. Add the herb tea mixture to the bath, along with the baking soda, vinegar, and aloe. Mix the essential oils with the honey to combine well and add to the bath water by stirring well with your hands. Soak for 20 minutes or longer. Pat dry gently. Follow with After-Sun Healing Spray if desired.
