Try lemon verbena oil and lavender flowers, or bergamot oil and chopped scented geraniums.
*2 tsp dried or 2 tbsp fresh herbs, well chopped *1/4 cup water *several drops essential oil *2 cups shredded pure, unscented soap
In an enamel saucepan, combine the herbs, water and oil and bring to a boil. Simmer, covered for 30 minutes, then add the shredded soap, mixing thoroughly. Allow to cool for 15 minutes (no longer!) then mix with your hands. Divide into six parts and roll each into balls or press into lightly greased molds. Set soaps on waxed paper to dry for several days.
